59% Boot Every Congressman

3 in 5 voters say boot the whole congress....

.... SO DO IT!

WND
If given the choice, a new poll reveals, 59 percent of Americans would sweep Capitol Hill clean of the current batch of senators and representatives to elect an entirely new Congress.

Only 17 percent of voters polled said they would be willing to keep the current legislature.

  1. Ah, yes... but ask those same people what they think of THEIR OWN congressman and the vast majority give a positive impression. In other words, "It's not MY congressman, it's EVERYONE ELSE'S that's the problem."

The poll, I think, also had the caveat of giving the option of replacing your own congressman with someone else of the SAME political party. The people could've done that a few months ago during the primaries, but didn't. Hence, my first point.

What we need is a constitutional amendment for term limits.

Personally, I think the following should be implemented - one presidential term of 6 years (no re-elections), one senate term of 6 years (no re-elections), and four congressional terms of 3-years each (max'ing out at 12 years). Elections held every three years rather than every two years.

AND A FRIGGIN' BALANCED BUDGET AMENDMENT, TOO!!!

    I can dream, can't I?
