US Bishops Suspend Acorn Funding

Well, better late than never... but the damage has been done.

Still, we correct our ways and move on.

US bishops’ agency suspends ACORN funding

The Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has suspended funding of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) following reports of embezzlement, according to CCHD executive director Ralph McCloud. The CCHD has given over $7.3 million to ACORN projects in the past decade despite concerns raised over the years by the Wanderer Forum Foundation, the Capital Research Center, and others.

    So, the political careers of numerous pro-death politicians and activists have been authored in no small part by US Catholic bishops.

    Why am I not surprised?

  2. Yes, I was dissapointed to find out these contributions were being handed out to ACORN.

    With the deceptive practices of ACORN I'm assuming that the bishops were deceived.

    With the changing of their philanthopy practices, I'm hoping the lesson is learned.
