Okay, this seems to be the main talking point on all the channels this morning.
So did he or didn't he mean to insult Sarah Palin?
For what it's worth, I've looked at the video and I believe that he did NOT mean to insult. And I'm not an Obama fan.
Maybe he was trying to be funny because it seemed like he added 'that pig phrase' at the last moment for affect .... maybe.
What I can't excuss Obama for though, is the fact the he didn't explain himself further when it appears the audience understood or misunderstood 'that pig phrase' to be directed at Sarah Palin.
This is quite clear in the video. Why didn't he add something like "... and I'm not directing this toward Sarah Palin" or "... and I don't mean Sarah Palin" or even "... and I mean the Republican ticket in general"
Almost anything could have been added.
But it seems in the video that he knew that the audience misunderstood him
...and he did nothing!
Therefore, I can NOT give Obama a complete pass on this. So all the hoopla is partially earned on his part.
Whether this episode amounts to anything at voting time remains to be seen.
Anyways, that's my two cents...
