It appears that an individual tried to hop on board the Pope Mobile as it made it way thru the crowds at the Vatican today.
B16 was not hurt a it looks like he was even unaware of the incident, from what news reports say. I don't' know what his motive were, however it looks like everything turned out for the better. It will be interesting to find out more when they question this guy.
I notice from photos of recent addresses by B16 that he rides in an open Pope Mobile as opposed to the closed bullet proof mobile that JPII rode in. I wonder if we will begin to see a change to this vehicle in the near future.
