More Popular to have "No Religion"

This is an interesting survey from the Program on Public Values at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.

15%, in the survey say they have no religion affiliation. Is it the youth, is it middle aged people...who are these people?

Is it that they are atheist or is it that they consider themselves not a part of traditional churches. Have they created their own versions of religion?

Many questions, however one point remains predominant. How do they obtain the fullness of the faith. Many of these non religious folks in the survey may have some sort of believe but modified to conform with their life style.

This, in my opinion maybe more dangerous than not having the fullness of faith that Christ intended us to have.

Kind of reminds me of the Lennon song 'Imagine'

'Imagine ....no hell below us. Above us only sky.'

This is more dangerous because the numbers that live this imaginary religion is much larger than the true atheist. Therefore you have more of the 'faithful' agreeing that abortion isn't that big of a deal. That euthanasia is merciful, that marriage between a man an woman is a thing of the past. But "I still believe in god."

what to do....

Prayer is the first thing. Study your faith. Share your faith. Most important, live your faith to the fullest.

More Americans say they have no religion.

A wide-ranging study on American religious life found that the Roman Catholic population has been shifting out o of the Northeast to the Southwest, the percentage of Christians in the nation has declined and more people say they have no religion at all.

Fifteen percent of respondents said they had no religion, an increase from 14.2 percent in 2001 and 8.2 percent in 1990, according to the American Religious Identification Survey.

Northern New England surpassed the Pacific Northwest as the least religious region, with Vermont reporting the highest share of those claiming no religion, at 34 percent. Still, the study found that the numbers of Americans with no religion rose in every state.

"No other religious bloc has kept such a pace in every state," the study's authors said.

  1. This is why so many were duped by The Obamessiah (if you believe in nothing, you'll fall for anything). Give it a few more months and his "believers" will have the scales fall from their eyes (already starting to happen only 50 days into his administration).

  2. I hope you're correct. Talking with my daughter, a resent college grad, the leaders of tomorrow are adapting to the modern culture the 'Obamessiah' as you say, rather earnestly.

I stil have hope though. The real kind I mean.
