Now I know that Mrs. Clinton is not Catholic, but I would have thought that most people know about the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and now St. Juan Diego and the event of 1531.
But maybe I'm wrong.... Hmmm.
Well, she asked the question about the image on a recent visit to the Basilica in Mexico, "Who painted the image?"
After observing it for a while, Mrs. Clinton asked “who painted it?” to which Msgr. Monroy responded “God!”
What a teaching moment. I hope Msgr. Monroy went a little further in his explanation. I hope he told her the whole story.
