Say what?!
Hello! .......... McFly!
Mr. Kmiec recently gave a talk at St John's Seminary in Camarillo, California.
The law professor told attendees that if Pope Benedict told him that his support for the pro-abortion politician was out of line with the Church’s teachings, he would stand by the Magisterium.
Sorry Mr. Kmiec, but that's pretty lame. The damage is done.
How about just coming out and saying you were WRONG!
The church's teachings are already pretty clear and that's what THE POPE STANDS BY!
UPDATE:
OH REALLY?!
This guy totally disgusts me. He's in serious need of a Road to Damascus moment.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if this would ever get to the point of the Pope commenting on the misguided irrationalities of single person out of the over 1 billion Catholics worldwide. Usually, it goes only so far as to his local bishop. And since he's at Pepperdine, that would mean the Taj Mahony Phony.
But, if B16 ever did chime in on this issue of Catholic responsibility re: voting and abortion, it would not only be a wake up call to Kmiec but to ever single Catholic worldwide. No more hiding around moral relativism, poorly formed consciences, or falsely scaled "proportionate reasoning" machinations.
