Making a Difference: St Francis House

Here's an example of changing lives. This in the inner city of Brooklyn, New York, St Francis House.

ABOUT:

Breaking the Cycle of PovertyAlmost half of all high school boys have experimented with drugs before the age of thirteen. Many will leave school before the 9th grade, become fathers or become homeless. Some will resort to anything-- begging, crime, prostitution-- just to feed or clothe themselves, just to survive. In 1967, Fr. Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R. founded the St. Francis House. Its mission is to provide a safe haven and highly structured home environment designed to meet the needs of young men who, having run out of alternatives, are looking for a new start in life.
